The Immigration Office at Pokhara International Airport was established in accordance with the Immigration Act-1992 (2049 BS), Immigration Rules-1994 (2051 BS), and Immigration Procedures-2008 (2065 BS). Its primary objective is to regulate the entry, stay, and departure of foreigners via air routes, as well as to manage the arrival and departure of Nepalese citizens.
Following the commencement of operations at Pokhara International Airport, this office has been providing services directly from the airport premises since November 23, 2023 (Margsir 7, 2080 BS).
This office is expected to play a vital role in upholding Nepal’s international reputation by making the country’s immigration system efficient, effective, and service-oriented in line with international standards.
Document Verification: Inspecting and monitoring travel documents of both domestic and foreign passengers traveling through this airport.
Departure Clearance: Granting departure permission in compliance with the law.
Visa Services: Issuing visas to foreign nationals as prescribed by the Immigration Act, Rules, Procedures, departmental circulars, and official directives.
